Dedication
When love is lost, empty spaces are left unfilled and the lifetime of love we anticipated falls just short of our expectations, leaving us to struggle through the pain of a heart most seemingly defeated, but only until we cease to exist as our Earthly selves, and are able to meet that love again. In that, we are forced to acknowledge that time’s most tangible consequence is death, and that tears are the ultimate price we’ll pay for loving those whose lives end before our own. So while love remains my interminable anchor, my waters are assuredly more turbulent; my ship, unquestionably much rockier; and my life, undoubtedly much emptier, without a few of those I’ve loved most by my side:
