If he cheats, he is not a good guy--stop defending him. If he lies, he is not a good guy--stop defending him. If he manipulates you to get his way, he is not a good guy--stop defending him. And if he rules the roost with his fist, he is not a good guy--get away from him. What I've come to learn through the years is that women will protect a man at all costs, even if it means helping him bury his bones. But what we need to realize is that even if he is funny, employed, or well-endowed (which appears to be most women's problem), what makes him a good man (in a romantic sense) is how well he protects your heart and how well he guards what you share. If he leaves it vulnerable or broken, unreasonably abandons it, or fails to put into it what he gets from it, he is not a good guy. STOP DEFENDING BOYS, and discover a man who will honor you. #LetARealManLoveYou

AuthorI, Kanika Vann (writer, author, editor, journalist, poet, publisher, and love enthusiast), created Love: Possible© with the intent to help save my sisters from the unnecessary pain that accompanies the acceptance of confusion, dysfunction, and disrespect in our romantic relationships, but not without calling special attention to our most valuable relationship—the one we have with ourselves.
