Before a woman falls in love with a man, she must be in love with who she is, what she is, and worship the ground that she herself, walks on. I don't say this with any hope that you become vain or conceited. I just know that the way you love, sacrifice, and give to him is the same way you should love, sacrifice, and give to yourself. #LoveHimYes, but #NeverForgetYourself. If you're willing to fight for him, you've got to be willing to fight for you. You cater to him, so be sure to take care of yourself, or at the very least expect it (in some capacity) from him. You respect him and protect him, why not respect and stand up for all that you are? Self-love is the core of all love; the basis of all relationships. If we loved ourselves more, we'd get hurt a lot less, because we wouldn't accept anything less than we deserve. No one can love you, the way that you love you. And no one is obligated to love you the way you should love yourself. The person who'll always be with you, is you, so make sure that you love her too. #SelfLove #ItsWhereAllLoveBegins

AuthorI, Kanika Vann (writer, author, editor, journalist, poet, publisher, and love enthusiast), created Love: Possible© with the intent to help save my sisters from the unnecessary pain that accompanies the acceptance of confusion, dysfunction, and disrespect in our romantic relationships, but not without calling special attention to our most valuable relationship—the one we have with ourselves.
