![]() Sometimes love gets better with time; other times, we outgrow it. And there's nothing wrong with either outcome. Our intentions when we enter relationships are to find love and keep it; grow old with it and hold onto it. But when it's time to walk away, we have to walk away. When we outgrow our clothes, our houses, and our careers we change them, so why not our love? Why hold on to a relationship that inhibits us? Minimizes us? Hurts us? Manipulates us or lies to us? Working to keep and better a love that is beneficial to us is commendable, yes. However, holding on to a broken love; one that fails to better us, only helps to weaken us, defeat us and disrespect us. The main reason we become bitter in (and after) relationships is because we hold on longer than we should. When its time to tap out, we can't fear it. Learn when/if it's time to let go. -Kanika A.
