Today, we celebrate love's insistence and determination; its beauty and perserverance. But because love isn't a fairy tale, we must remember to offer it realistically, wholly, and genuinely, and expect it to be reciprocated, as such. #Hallmark cards and expensive jewelry have little to do with what love truly is. And #candy, #sex, and #flowers have no relation to love unless something of substance is being offered along with them. We've all heard of #honesty, #loyalty, and #dependability, right? Okay, well...#ThatsWhatMatters today, and everyday. Besides, when he loves you earnestly, Valentine's Day is just another Sunday. Ladies, when he loves you beautifully, the window displays and well-timed "He doesn't love you unless he buys you this" commercials are just that. And when he loves you maturely, there's a #smile that tends to accompany the sunrise, the phone calls, the long embraces, and even his "hello." So yes, Valentine's Day is definitely a superficial reminder to remember love and celebrate and honor love, but it's up to us to implement love, reinforce love, and appreciate love. If you've yet to find him, today is a day to celebrate you. If you've recently let him go, today is a day to celebrate you, too. If he's already with you, today should be your "thank you," but so should Monday through Saturday. And if he's no longer Earthly-present, today is a day to reflect and rejoice because you've known love. In either circumstance, there is much to be grateful for, so much to look forward to. So whether his gifts are lavish or average, sentimental or creative, keep in mind that#gifts alone don't define the love experience. Words don't define the love experience. And #expectations don't define the love experience. It's his love, his selflessness, his consistency, and the impressions he leaves, that you should be grateful for. I mean, in the end, that's all there is. #Love!!!#HappyValentinesDay!!!
