It's what we find out while loving that changes how we love and why we love. The eternal flame that burns in our loins and overtakes our daydreams is not love; its infatuation, and desire, and lust. Conversely, it is the trust that we have, the safety we feel, the gratitude that comes over us--whether lust is present or sidelined--that tells our truth. Yes, we find satisfaction in our relationships, but we find dependability and reciprocity and maturity in love.
