Emotional abuse is just as dangerous as physical abuse. Long after the bruises of physical abuses heal, the shame, low self-esteem, and confusion of emotional abuse lingers. I was once the recipient of "love" from a manipulator, and just as it had with many others, it took a serious toll on me. It took 14 years, 5/8 of my sanity, and nearly all of my hair to rid myself of that relationship, but I know for certain that some of you reading these ideas of mine are too ashamed to admit that you love or live with this type of monster.
