So why wouldn't we move men to the side when they no longer benefit us? While I understand the hesitation you may experience in regards to moving him out of your life, it is absolutely vital that we assess his purpose in our lives and his role in our space. Why is he around, if he no longer adds to you? Why are you wasting time in it, if he can't elevate you? If he's no longer relevant, why are you making excuses for it? ![]() When you really think about it, break ups give us reason to be both grateful and disappointed. Yes, hurt leaves us bruised, but it should never leave us broken. It may stretch us out of our comfort zones but should never snap our spirits. Love, in its truest form, is a very selfless act, and I believe wholeheartedly that it should be acted out without reservation. But reservation isn't code for stupidity. Even if you walk away brokenhearted, walk away better, smarter, and cognizant of the lesson learned, because repetition of the same mistakes gives us the label of 'stupid', not 'victim.' -Kanika Vann |
